  • Turing Machine Turing Machine

    Turing Machine

    Paolo Romani

    95 ratings

Not a game at all. Pure programming. If you are not familiar with Turing Machines, skip this one. If you are, though, this is a good implementation.

  • Kings Can Fly Free

    Kings Can Fly Free

    Firedroid

    171 ratings

Like ChuChu Rocket. Fun, but the graphics and the UI can get in each other's way sometimes. A baker's dozen of free levels.

  • DungeonDiary DungeonDiary

    DungeonDiary

    windbell

    610 ratings

Install this game. You program a girl who crawls a dungeon to pay back a $30M debt. Once you do, the REAL game is just starting. Also, the Engrish is flat-out amazing. Install. This. Game. There is a Wikia and a JayIsGames page. [PS installthisgame]

  • Garden Diary Garden Diary

    Garden Diary

    windbell

    172 ratings

This is windbell's followupbutnotsequel to DungeonDiary (q.v.). It is much more complex than DD, and I am afraid that the Engrish is too opaque. I am trying to figure it out, but it's slow going. If you do, add it to http://dungeondiary.wikia.com/ !

  • Turing Machine

    Turing Machine

    Sinek Yazılım

Where the whole "programming" concept was born; a tape, some 1s and some 0s. The only quibble I have is that the interface makes it possible to brute force the solutions. I hope that the author updates with more levels. Good game.

  • Lightbot : Programming Puzzles

    Lightbot : Programming Puzzles

    Lightbot

    1758 ratings

The official version of Light-Bot, as opposed to the app I mentioned previously. Nicely polished, and levels that are new to the app, not just ones from the Flash game.

  • factory balls

    factory balls

    Bart Bonte

    837 ratings

App version of Bart Bonte's "make plain white balls look pretty" Flash game. [Not technically "programming", but a couple of people mentioned it to me, so...]

  • Robodroid Robodroid

    Robodroid

    Andrea Baccega

    139 ratings

Sort of like a local, self-contained Robozzle. It says it's in beta. It has said that for about three years now, unfortunately. It's quite the small app, so hey, give it a shot.

  • BoxCar2D - Evolution Simulator BoxCar2D - Evolution Simulator

    BoxCar2D - Evolution Simulator

    Ramunas Geciauskas

    605 ratings

In some ways more complex than Talennsy's "Evolution" apps (qq.v.), simpler in other ways. No relevant user interaction means that it's not really a game, per se, but it's interesting to watch, so I include it. Drawback: Lack of save function.

  • Robot Football Pro Robot Football Pro

    Robot Football Pro

    Plasmaworks LLC

    85 ratings

Three bots per team get three moves per turn, try to score a touchdown. Simple yet strangely addictive. Multiplayer games are possible, internet or hotseat. On some devices, like mine, screen focus problems prevent you from entering your name.

    Generate: Generative Art Tool

    Amimetic

    49 ratings

Not really a game - you program a graphical system (not Logo) to create procedural graphics. You can save the resulting pictures or generate high-res versions by exporting the code to a website.

  • RoboCom Basic

    RoboCom Basic

    AndyGFX

    369 ratings

[This appears to be a work in progress...?] It says that it's for kids, and it's currently mostly a sandbox, but the 'visual code blocks into source code' feature is rather nifty.

  • RobotBlock

    RobotBlock

    Victor Salvador

Guide multiple robots to their goals. Because of an added drop of physics, it's slightly harder than it sounds.

  • RoboZZle Droid RoboZZle Droid

    RoboZZle Droid

    l0st

    554 ratings

An Android client for http//robozzle.com/ , where you use simple opcodes to make a bot solve increasingly intricate goals. I personally prefer this app's interface to the official site's. It has problems syncing your solutions with the main site.

  • Robot Trainer Robot Trainer

    Robot Trainer

    Midnight Vacation

    13 ratings

An Android client for http//robozzle.com/ , where you use simple opcodes to make a bot solve increasingly intricate goals. A review on Google Play says it doesn't sync your solutions with the main site.

  • SpaceChem Mobile Demo

    SpaceChem Mobile Demo

    Zachtronics

    720 ratings

Lay out the actions for a set of waldoes in a chemical reactor and have them rearrange atoms and molecules. The demo has around a dozen levels, enough to get you hooked.

  • SpaceChem Mobile

    SpaceChem Mobile

    Zachtronics

    918 ratings

Lay out the actions for a set of waldoes in a chemical reactor and have them rearrange atoms and molecules. The full version is a bit pricey, but it includes everything the Steam version has, except for one bit of DLC.

  • AUTO COMBAT "commandroid" AUTO COMBAT

    AUTO COMBAT "commandroid"

    CATECHIN WORKS

    456 ratings

Program your robot to destroy other robots in the arena. Once you beat the game, you can upload your bots and download others'. There is, unfortunately, no way to mute the sounds and music.

  • Evolution

    Evolution

    Talennsy

    310 ratings

Creatures made up out of wheels and cells with various purposes (motor, battery, &c.) compete to see who can travel farther. The winners' genetic lines get to continue. [In the free version all you can change is the course type - still fascinating!]

  • ShokoRocket ShokoRocket

    ShokoRocket

    Edward Woolhouse

    432 ratings

It claims to be (and certainly does look like) a clone of ChuChu Rocket. It isn't compatible with my device, but most folks rate it highly. [Not TECHNICALLY a programming game, but close enough to fit into this channel.]
