Finally IFTTT (If this than that) is available for Android. It allows you to integrate all your different internet services with each other. For example: you check into Foursquare, the check-in is automatically logged to your Evernote account. There are countless possibilities for recipes. Just be creative.

I started using ifttt in the year 2011, there weren't many triggers then but I was amazed by it, and stuck with it since then. The android app could use more work, yes, but it was so awaited I'm adding it here anyway. The web interface has always been minimalistic and it fits well with the app, it's not changed so recurring users can adapt easily.

I've been using this service for a few months now but now it has an app! It's basically Tasker for the internet, connecting and automating activities on multiple websites. The app even brings a little direct Android integration! Don't expect anything on the level of Tasker, but by using the two together (maybe toss in PushBullet) your creativity can make anything happen.
Create simple connections between apps like Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, Twitter, and Gmail, as well as devices like your Nest Thermostat, Fitbit, and Philips Hue lightbulbs.
