Channel 4 has an extensive library of programmes (including both classic shows and more recent programmes that have dropped out of our 30-day catch up ‘window’). Unfortunately, it’s not possible to bring you all of this content via this app – but a selection is
currently available. We will continue to extend this range.
4oD is a free app, and our content is free to watch because we are a commercially-funded public service broadcaster. As a publicly-owned, not-for-profit organisation, the revenue we make from advertising doesn’t go to shareholders, it goes back into making more programmes.
Understanding our viewers with respect to their gender, age and where they live gives us data on the demographic of people who watch certain programmes. This helps inform programme decisions and helps attract advertisers – meaning we can make more of the shows you love.
